Contax 21mm 2.8 Lens Specifications*

The design of this lens with an image angle of view of nearly 100°, has proved its value over many years. It has floating elements which improve image sharpness noticeably in the close-up range. The excellent imaging performance and good correction of distortion also deserve a mention. It is particularly small and light. The possibility of extremely dynamic perspectives leads to unusual image effects. It also permits close-up settings up to 0.3m. Favored use: photography in tight spaces, overall views in closed spaces, representation of wide open spaces and travel photography.
The Distagon® T* 2.8/21
lens is a wide angle lens with extremely sophisticated optics. It contains floating elements and optical glass with partial anomalous dispersion. Even with the aperture open, it offers excellent sharpness. Particularly noticeable are the even illumination of the image field and the freedom from color fringes. It also makes possible very dynamic perspectives and gives good results in available light photography. Favored uses: in tight spaces, for overall-views in closed spaces and for representing wide open spaces

*Please note that Contax is Kaput! Kyrocera pulled the plug on the Contax camera system in 2005. So buyer beware. You'll only have used parts to service the camera with, and good luck finding a certified Contax camera technician
