This lens fulfils the wish for a long focal length, fast shutter speed, compact construction and comfortable handling. Even with the aperture completely open, it gives excellent imaging performance, which in monochrome is almost perfect. Despite its focal length, the lens lies well in the hand and the retractable tripod collar makes working comfortable. As it is optimally suited for long distances, this lens is an obvious choice for photographing wildlife and people, landscape photography and for news photography.
